Diana L. Devoe-Bland is the founder of Vegan Who. After having a health scare and after the loss of her dad, Diana's wellness was in immediate danger. After many years of trying to lose weight unsuccessfully, Diana decided to go on a vegan diet and closely monitor her food consumption. After 6 months, Diana lost 70lbs and improved her overall health. Diana wanted to share her enthusiasm and spread awareness of how eating a plant-based diet can improve many dimensions of your health. Obtaining her Bachelor's degree with Psychology and Sociology concentrations at Georgia Southern University, her Master of Science degree in Physical Education: Sports and Fitness at Florida International University, as well as obtaining her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at South University: Savannah, GA helped her gain evidenced-based awareness of how we can improve health disparities in the Black community. On March 24, 2021, Vegan Who was born.
Vegan Who is a black female-owned company that aims to increase plant-based food access and education in underserved areas of Coastal Georgia. We aim to achieve this through seminars, school-based events, plant-based food drives, and other community outreach events. We plan to expand society's idea of what being a vegan looks like and make the transition to a plant-based diet an enjoyable experience. Less shame and more change. Join the movement!
